HTC has done a very incredible job on doing their smartphone business. They are very innovative in building a smartphone software, especially in Android Platform. I’ve been using HTC Smartphone for about 2 years ago, My first device with HTC was HTC Sensation (original version) which has a very intuitive HTC Sense inside. On 2013, HTC has shown us the best mobile smartphone code name HTC M7 called HTC One with HTC Sense 5 inside.
The design of the metallic One is very sleek, the built quality made of aluminium is awesome to hold and show-off. It fits neatly in the hand without being too slippery, and at 143g with a 4.7-inch 1080p 468ppi display, it’s a pleasure to use. The underlying 1.7GHz Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM deliver smooth performance; I benchmarked it with Geekbench 2 at 2,735. There’s no expandable microSD memory slot built into the One, but the 32GB of internal storage feels more than enough for me.
HTC One equipped with android Jelly Bean version 4.1.2 out of the box and about 2 weeks ago, they have upgraded the device to Android Jelly Bean version 4.2.2 with several improvement. 2,300 mAh of battery capacity has incredibly shown a big impact for HTC One battery life since I can get enough juice for more than 13 hours average. GSM Arena Battery Test has published the test for your further review and categorized the smartphone is one of the top achiever on the market. 48h Endurance rating with almost 10hours of battery life for web browsing and video playback is very acceptable for me. It shows that HTC has improved their battery quality to balance the performance index of this phone. I myself get this phone fully charged on 6 AM and it usually need to be recharged when I got home at 8 PM.
HTC’s done a few controversial things with the One. Its use of a 4MP camera with larger pixel sensor sites (f 2.0) and correlating ‘Zoe’ software works better than you might expect, especially in low light. Where it does suffer a little is if you want to digitally crop or blow up your photos, because they’re still only 4MP images they can lose out against other camera options. Low light camera is very useful in taking an indoor picture and we usually take pictures in low light condition especially night and indoors, right? The 4MP is worth having since smartphone pictures are meant to be uploaded in social media like instagram, path, facebook, twitter, etc. I myself very appreciate the 4MP pictures with large pixel sensor which produce a higher quality pictures compared to other smartphones which marked themselves as 8MP or even the Sony‘s 13MP camera.
Sense 5 on the other hand is a strange, strange beast. I understand that to differentiate from other manufacturers, Android device creators make their own skins. As a Windows Phone user, I find it utterly crazy… however that is the nature of Android. What I can’t understand is how tossing in different user interfaces on top of Android is helping users. The HTC One now comes with two completely different Music applications installed. HTC’s BlinkFeed, on the other hand, gives you a Flipboard-style home screen, where we could find the news on certain area. While you can’t uninstall it, you can at least set your home screen to other screens instead. There’s no menu button, which means it either pops up virtually in some apps, or relies on a double tap of the home button on others. On recent update, The home button has more function with some gestures, 4 functions!!, like double tap : 9 recent apps, single tap : home, swipe-up : google now, hold 3 sec : menu. The idea of having this kind of gesture tap is very intuitive since they have only 2 buttons.
HTC One has embedded the beats audio line for audio quality. The beast screamed louder than any other smartphone with the best sound clarity. The 2 front-facing speaker called Boomsound has been a very remarkable for me to enjoy the music. I can hardly find any other phone that will beat this phone in this area, beats audio also make a huge impact on tuning the music style which boost the bass quality.
Thanks for it, I now have the best smartphone, It completes me now. I can only say it satisfy my personal needs. The current HTC flagship of 2013 has the best smartphone compared to others. While others may think it was not good enough, but me, myself and I have fallen in love with the design, built quality, camera, boomsound, thin design, and the most beautiful screen it has which beats others down. No phone are better right now in the market for me other than HTC One. You should see, hold, feel, experience and try all the features yourself to get the best out of it.
